After decades abroad, a family returned to New York City to this unusual apartment. The original building was created to contain music practice and performance rooms. The goal was to carefully renovate the spaces to retain and bring out the intrinsic elegance of the rooms. A new kitchen, central air, new finishes and lighting were incorporated.
